The following terms and conditions apply if you wish to buy wine from us or if you use our website - and by registering on the web site you are agreeing to be bound by them.

Customer Promise

We warrant that our wines will be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If you don't like any wine, or if a bottle is broken or spoilt on delivery, we'll replace or credit it.

Availability

As wine is an agricultural product, we can run out from time to time. If we do have to substitute wines either for an alternative or for a later vintage – we will contact you before shipping.

However, we guarantee that we will not use this as an opportunity to advertise a good wine and replace it with an inferior one.

Prices and Payment

All prices are quoted in sterling, either per bottle or per case, as indicated. All prices include VAT and our standard transit packaging together with a personal message card where applicable but exclude delivery.

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, Elavon, V-Pay, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club or JCB. We also accept payment via PayPal.

If you are shopping from a country with a different currency to GBP, you can still place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

Typographical and Pricing Errors - In the event a product or service is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, we shall have the right to refuse to meet or to cancel any orders placed for that product or service whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged.

If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.

Delivery

We deliver to any UK mainland address. We are unable to deliver to Northern Ireland or UK islands.

The cost of delivery to GB mainland addresses is £5.99 inclusive of VAT PER ORDER.

During the checkout process you can specify the date when you would prefer your order to be delivered. We are unable to deliver on a Sunday or on bank holidays. Saturday deliveries are available but do incur a £15 surcharge.

Orders are sent on a next day carrier, who will deliver during the day, Monday to Friday. We are not able to specify a time, but you can request that the case be left with a neighbour or another safe place if you are out.

If you have not received your order by the specified date, please let us know as soon as possible. Please be sure to order in plenty of time at Christmas as delays are expected at this time of year.

Please note, your order must be placed before 3.30pm for a next day service.

If an order is placed over the weekend, the earliest it will be shipped out is on the Monday. If an order is placed before or on a bank holiday, your order will be shipped out on the next working day.

Please note that Wine 2 Dine 4 Limited will not and cannot be held liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer for any failure to meet an estimated delivery date. We cannot be held responsible for any delays due to reasons outside of our control. We offer no refund/compensation of delivery charges should your order not arrive on the estimated delivery time/day due to reasons beyond our control. This includes delays caused by adverse weather conditions.

** Should your item arrive damaged please do not dispose of the item before contacting us as we may require photographic proof of any damage in order to make a claim for the damages! **

Cancellation

We want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, we know you may change your mind.

If you do change your mind and no longer want your order, please contact us as fast as you can... because unless a forward date is specified we normally ship on the same day we get your order.

If the goods have not left our premises, we will cancel your order immediately and refund you in full.

Returns

You must advise us of any damages on delivery within 48 hours of receipt. In the case of spoiled wines, you must notify us within 90 days from delivery.

All refunds or reimbursements will be paid within 30 days of you notifying us of your wish to return the wine – providing that the wine has been collected by our carrier. Any wines collected by our carrier must be in their original packaging wherever possible in order to prevent further breakages.

Under the Home Shopping:Distance Selling regulations private purchasers have the right to cancel the order up to 7 days after receipt of items if the items have not been used. This does not apply to items made to a purchasers own specification (eg. Personalised labels, personalisation, own branding etc). Cancellation of orders must be made in writing – either by letter, fax or email.

Verbal cancellation is not sufficient. In the rare event that a customer needs to cancel an order after it has been delivered correctly and within the time advised, we reserve our right to charge for the cost of the return of the order and for any damage that occurs in transit.

The Home Shopping:Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to Business purchases. Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found here.

For your protection, where you are returning an item to us, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty.

Age Restrictions

It's against the law to sell wine to anyone who is not 18 years old or over. By placing an order with Wine 2 Dine 4 you are confirming that you are at least 18 years old.

If you're buying wine as a gift, the recipient must also be over 18 years old. If our couriers have any doubt of the age of the recipient, they will ask for some form of ID and if not satisfied, they're not permitted to leave the wine.

Once the wine has been delivered according to your instructions, it then becomes the recipient's responsibility.

Limitation of Liability

Customers should be aware of the following risks and warnings: Alcohol should be consumed in moderation. You can check your drinking on this UK charity link: www.drinkaware.co.uk

Full cases of wine are heavy – so take care when lifting. Wine can stain if spilt, especially red wine – so extra care should be taken. Sparkling wines and champagne can be volatile so take extra care when opening and always point the cork away from yourself and others.

Data Protection & Privacy

By providing your details to Wine 2 Dine 4 on our web site, you agree to Wine 2 Dine 4 maintaining, recording and using this information for the purposes of processing your orders, improving our service to you and informing you of special offers. All data is however, legally collected and maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Wine 2 Dine 4 take your privacy extremely seriously and will not pass your details to any third party without your express permission except of course where we have to do so in order to process your order.

We do not contact you for promotional reasons unless you have signed up to our newsletter. Whether via our website, letter, email or another method, we assure you that we will only use the personal information you provide in accordance with this statement.

This privacy statement explains how we may use information supplied or collected from you or via other sources. This site has links to and from other online services provided by other organisations (such as other drinks sites) and Wine 2 Dine 4 is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites.

Please note that as we use PayPal or Sagepay as our online payment processor, we never at any time have any access to your credit card information. This information is held centrally by the payment processor. If you have any questions/comments about privacy, you should email us.

Protecting your information - There is an element of risk involved with sending information via the Internet. It is your responsibility to take appropriate precautions to protect your personal information when accessing on-line resources. Ensuring your operating system and Internet browser are updated with relevant security patches, and the use of other security products, can help reduce this risk.

Wine 2 Dine 4 shall not be liable for any delay in delivering your wine if that delay is the result of circumstances outside of our control such as war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, fire flood, storm or Act of God, failure of ISP or telecommunications provider in connection with the performance of this agreement.

Please note that the sale of goods only takes place when the wine is despatched from our warehouse. Up until that time, no charge will be made to your credit or debit card and Wine 2 Dine 4 will not be bound to supply the goods at the price.

Wine 2 Dine 4 reserve the right to amend or add to these Terms and Conditions at any time for reasons of security, legality or compliance with regulations. We will not use this right to vary the terms of any special offers.

Wine 2 Dine 4 has made every effort to ensure that the information on this web site is accurate, correct and up to date.
